Brittany and I decided to take a trip to Fort Fosters yesterday for something to do after work. I haven’t been there since when I was a child, neither has Britt so we thought it was a good idea. It’s weird how Everything was completely different from how I remembered it being when I was a kid, but it still was really fun. It was really gorgeous out yesterday, but the wind there made it just a little bit chilly without a sweatshirt on. We almost walked around the whole place, until it started to get dark and Brittany wanted to head back. It was so neat though, seeing all those bunkers from so long ago. I only wish that you could actually go in them and explore all of them.
Britt and I were discussing how cool it would be to become an urban explorer, to explore things that you aren’t supposed to be exploring. it would be really fun to tie into with my whole photography thing as well.
All in all yesterday was really enjoyable and got some awesome shots with my phone. It’s really nice spending quality time with Britt like that. Pretty soon we will be going to Fort Mcleary as well to do the same thing. I honestly can’t wait for that and it couldn’t come soon enough.
Congratulations to user Jonathan Kos-Read for winning shot of the week! Lovely mood you’ve set here.

Congratulations to Martin Kühn for winning shot of the week! What an amazing shot! What I love about this one is it’s focus and the dramatic mood it gives you. It almost makes you feel as if you’re there yourself. Great work!

Today was a good day. Not only did work go by fast, but it was a gorgeous day out as well. Britt and I made plans to head to the beach, but we weren’t sure what we wanted to do or anything… then it clicked in my head that I haven’t been to the Nubble lighthouse in a while, so I figured we would go there.
While there, I thought it would be a good idea to get a couple of shots since I haven’t actually gotten out of the house in a while and put use to my camera that has been laying around. What you see above is a shot I took of the lighthouse. The only downfall is that today was hazy out, so it was kind of hard to get a shot. Anyways, this was my result… a kind of vintage looking photo, which It thought turned out to be decent.
We hung around the lighthouse a bit and I let Britt fool around with my camera. One of the shots that she took of me ended up turning out really well and I am now using it for everything. The shot that she took is pictured to the right.

I honestly think if she would actually invest in a decent camera, she could take her skills to a whole other level. She is very talented when it comes to photography, she just doesn’t put the time or effort into it that she should. I would really like for her to actually get back into it, just for the fact that it’s fun to go on trips with her and we can both be involved in something like that.
I was thinking to myself that I need to invest in some more lenses. I’ve been using my standard 58mm zoom lens since I’ve gotten the camera, which now I think it’s time for an upgrade to something bigger and better. I’ve been really thinking about getting a telephoto lens, or even a wide angle lens for scenic shots. Not totally sure what I want to do yet, but I should start saving soon.
On the other hand, I really want to finish my sleeve soon. I’m sick of it looking “patchy” right now. It’s just really gaped looking to me, but that could just be how I look at it and how I feel… I don’t know. Hopefully soon when Stina opens her new shot that I can discuss my options with her. I know that I’m most likely going to lay down the money for the outline first like Britt did, just because it will be a lot cheaper that route other than doing the whole thing at once.
Well, I’m off… got some sleep to catch up on and some other stuff I have to do.
Goodnight all!

This is a shot that was taken a while back of Louie, our bearded dragon. The shot was taken using the app “Snappr”. It’s a pretty cool app that adds a retro feel with a touch of fish-eye. Check it out on theSnappr homepage, or download it here.
