I told you guys that I would update you on how the Sanford store was and how things went, so I figured I would do it now… Even though it’s pretty late.

Anywho, the Sanford store thing went pretty decent for myself. I was set with the tasks that my Manager knew that I would do good at and would be done at an efficient rate of speed. I was set on the task of really simple things at first, such as putting rails up on the shelves after we put them up and made sure they were on the right notch. Once that was done, I was put on the battery wall. That completely sucked, but I was the one for the job because I’m very neat about those things.

The rest of the days with the set up went decent. It was a lot of hard work though, that’s for sure. The really crappy part about all this, is that Britt had a problem there and she ended up breaking down because of it. It was really unfortunate and I felt really bad for her.

This week I actually got two days off in a row, which is awesome. It’s actually nice to have those because it’s like a mini vacation for me.

On rift I’ve become pretty geared and finally got my croc mount that I’ve been working forever for! This thing is bad ass looking, and I’m glad that I actually took the time and did the wicked long chain for it.

Well, I must hit the sack for tonight. Not sure what’s going on tomorrow; we will see. Goodnight world.

Today was a good day. Not only did work go by fast, but it was a gorgeous day out as well. Britt and I made plans to head to the beach, but we weren’t sure what we wanted to do or anything… then it clicked in my head that I haven’t been to the Nubble lighthouse in a while, so I figured we would go there.

While there, I thought it would be a good idea to get a couple of shots since I haven’t actually gotten out of the house in a while and put use to my camera that has been laying around. What you see above is a shot I took of the lighthouse. The only downfall is that today was hazy out, so it was kind of hard to get a shot. Anyways, this was my result… a kind of vintage looking photo, which It thought turned out to be decent.

We hung around the lighthouse a bit and I let Britt fool around with my camera. One of the shots that she took of me ended up turning out really well and I am now using it for everything. The shot that she took is pictured to the right.

I honestly think if she would actually invest in a decent camera, she could take her skills to a whole other level. She is very talented when it comes to photography, she just doesn’t put the time or effort into it that she should. I would really like for her to actually get back into it, just for the fact that it’s fun to go on trips with her and we can both be involved in something like that.

I was thinking to myself that I need to invest in some more lenses. I’ve been using my standard 58mm zoom lens since I’ve gotten the camera, which now I think it’s time for an upgrade to something bigger and better. I’ve been really thinking about getting a telephoto lens, or even a wide angle lens for scenic shots. Not totally sure what I want to do yet, but I should start saving soon.

On the other hand, I really want to finish my sleeve soon. I’m sick of it looking “patchy” right now. It’s just really gaped looking to me, but that could just be how I look at it and how I feel… I don’t know. Hopefully soon when Stina opens her new shot that I can discuss my options with her. I know that I’m most likely going to lay down the money for the outline first like Britt did, just because it will be a lot cheaper that route other than doing the whole thing at once.

Well, I’m off… got some sleep to catch up on and some other stuff I have to do.

Goodnight all!

March 6, 2012

This week is going by really slow. I just want it to end as soon as possible. I honestly don’t know what it is, but it seems like my days go by at a creeping crawl. Today wasn’t all that bad as the previous days, which is good, but the week is still not even close to being over yet. All well, I must suck it up!

Business has been really slow at work, which means hours might be cut again. It stresses me out when that happens because with me going to college soon, I won’t be able to afford anything that is below full-time. With it being slow, there isn’t much to do when I am scheduled on main in the morning. I swear, you could mistaken the store for a wasteland. For example, all I did throughout the whole day was put away cigarettes. On the plus side they were all done by the time the second shift came in, but it’s just incredibly boring.

I must head to bed. It’s late and I need my sleep or I will be a grump in the morning. Hopefully tomorrow goes as decent as today went.

Goodnight.

The little Things

Britt and I decided that we were going to make cookies and have a bowl of  ice cream with them. I love doing little things like that. The saying really does go without question, “It’s the little things in life”. I tend to live life by this and it has yet to let me down. So if you get the chance, don’t take the little things for granted, always be grateful for them.

Getting back into the Groove

So I thought to myself recently that I need to do some more work with my photography. Lately I haven’t really had the time for it due to working all the time and me playing video games on my days off… great time waster, huh? Well, I think soon I will be picking it back up again and get some more work out there. I started another posterous with a couple of my shots on it. That can be found here. From here I will be posting new work as with keeping my flickr updated.

On the other hand, I hope everyone’s new year was decent. Here’s to a new begining and a healthy year, hopefully, for you all. I’m going to try and keep my blog updated as much as possible, but it’s really hard for me to do that because of how busy life is for me right now. The best thing is that I will be posting a lot from my phone, so that makes it a little bit easier with my extremely busy lifestyle currently. Take care everyone, cheers.
