Today was a very eventful day. Brittany and I decided that we would take a trip down to Odiorne State Park for something to do since it was a nice day. While walking down the trails I had to step off into the woods to pee. Like every man does when they are peeing in the woods, I was looking around when something caught my eye. Looking down I noticed something that was hidden under the brush. I then proceeded to pick it up and this is what I found:

This little thing is called a “letter box”. Basically what it is, is a weather proof tub that you put a blank page book in for people to stamp, write a little story, and then put the date and where the found it. You also can include stuff within the box such as little things around your surroundings that people would find interesting or might was to keep. In this case we found the book with someone’s story, seashells, and a cigarette butt. Not totally sure why the cigarette butt was in there, but it was still a neat find.

Britt and I plan on taking this letter box and replace the book (since it was full) with our own story and stuff in it. We collected some things around us from today that are going to be placed within the box and these are as follows: seashell, crab claw, lobster trap rope, and a picture of us. When we actually plan on hiding this box, we are going to hide it somewhere very far away from the ocean so that when someone finds it, it will be a nice little reminder and surprise. Also, what I was thinking is thy putting some of our social networks on there so that people could contact us when they find it, if they wanted too.

Overall today was really fun and entertaining. The views were lovely, even though it was a tad bit gloomy out. I was actually excited that I got out and got a couple new shots. It’s nice when I actually can get out of the house and do something for a little while and have fun with it. Id you ever get the chance, keep a lookout for our letter box! Could be somewhere you are!

Sleeve Outline

I actually contacted Stina via email and told her that I wanted to setup an appointment to get the outline of my sleeve done. To be honest, I’ve been itching to get something done with it because it just doesn’t look right as of right now. I’m not totally what she has in store for me, but I know it will be something good. I just can’t wait to have this whole arm as a whole and not two pieces right now. I still want to go off the theme of the girl she did / Day of the Dead look and feel to it, but we will see what she suggests what I should do with it.

I really want to visit her new shop. From what I’ve seen it looks awesome. What sucks is the fact that they had a grand-opening of the shop and I didn’t get to go because I had to work that day. It would have been really awesome to win some stuff that they were giving away that day, but all well… you have to pay the bills somehow, right?

This is what she did on my about a year ago:

Last time I talked to her when I got my last tattoo done by her, she told me that she could make my sleeve work with the other tattoo that’s on my inner forearm. She told me that she could tie it in somehow, which was a relief to me because I honestly didn’t think that we could. I mean yeah, it might look a LITTLE out of place, but I’m sure one-hundred percent sure that she knows what will work and what will not work on my sleeve. I’m going to have to keep everyone updated on what will be going on… Hopefully in a month I will have the appointment to see her. We will see!

Finally in!

The Hunger Games

Britt and I went and saw The Hunger Games tonight at Smitty’s Cinema. I went into the movie hearing from a lot of people that it was definitely worth seeing and that it was a very good movie. I really didn’t expect how good this movie was though.

We first started out by taking our seats at the table that we selected. From there we ended up being waited on by a woman that offered us some drinks… this was very strange to me because I’ve never been to a Smitty’s before and never actually ate real food in a movie theater. Britt ended up ordering the Ranch Chicken wrap with buffalo chicken instead of regular and for myself it was a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both of which were really good, which is always a plus in my book.

Once the movie started we were instantly drawn to it. It’s really neat how well it was directed and how it seemingly flows together. Now I know that there are some movies out there that are along the same basis, but I can’t stress enough how enjoyable this film was, to actually sit there and watch for as long as it went on for. That’s another thing that I didn’t expect, was it to be so long. The whole film itself is about 142 minutes long, which isn’t so common in a lot of movies now-a-days. To be honest though, it doesn’t feel like it is that long because you are completely drawn into what is going on.

I would definitely recommend this movie for people to see. It’s one of those ones where you leave the theater thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe what just happened. I hope they make a sequel soon.” Which to me means a lot because I don’t think that when it comes to a lot of movies. So I do at least think that you should give this a try, even if you have heard bad things about it… trust me, you won’t regret it.

Brittany and I decided to take a trip to Fort Fosters yesterday for something to do after work. I haven’t been there since when I was a child, neither has Britt so we thought it was a good idea. It’s weird how Everything was completely different from how I remembered it being when I was a kid, but it still was really fun. It was really gorgeous out yesterday, but the wind there made it just a little bit chilly without a sweatshirt on. We almost walked around the whole place, until it started to get dark and Brittany wanted to head back. It was so neat though, seeing all those bunkers from so long ago. I only wish that you could actually go in them and explore all of them.

Britt and I were discussing how cool it would be to become an urban explorer, to explore things that you aren’t supposed to be exploring. it would be really fun to tie into with my whole photography thing as well.

All in all yesterday was really enjoyable and got some awesome shots with my phone. It’s really nice spending quality time with Britt like that. Pretty soon we will be going to Fort Mcleary as well to do the same thing. I honestly can’t wait for that and it couldn’t come soon enough.

I told you guys that I would update you on how the Sanford store was and how things went, so I figured I would do it now… Even though it’s pretty late.

Anywho, the Sanford store thing went pretty decent for myself. I was set with the tasks that my Manager knew that I would do good at and would be done at an efficient rate of speed. I was set on the task of really simple things at first, such as putting rails up on the shelves after we put them up and made sure they were on the right notch. Once that was done, I was put on the battery wall. That completely sucked, but I was the one for the job because I’m very neat about those things.

The rest of the days with the set up went decent. It was a lot of hard work though, that’s for sure. The really crappy part about all this, is that Britt had a problem there and she ended up breaking down because of it. It was really unfortunate and I felt really bad for her.

This week I actually got two days off in a row, which is awesome. It’s actually nice to have those because it’s like a mini vacation for me.

On rift I’ve become pretty geared and finally got my croc mount that I’ve been working forever for! This thing is bad ass looking, and I’m glad that I actually took the time and did the wicked long chain for it.

Well, I must hit the sack for tonight. Not sure what’s going on tomorrow; we will see. Goodnight world.

Progress

April 4, 2012

This week for two day I will be working in Sanford to help open the new Walgreens that is going to be opening there. It’s pretty awesome because we get to dress down and dress casual, which means we can wear anything that we want to. The only crappy part to this whole “opening a new store” thing is the fact that tomorrow I have to be there by seven in the morning… Which means I will have to wake up super early for work.

On the plus side, it will be really nice to setup the store and not do my every day routine. Hopefully taking in the expense truck for the store won’t be a disaster though. From what I heard, it’s going to be pretty dang hectic when it comes to the truck actually arriving at the store. I guess we will have to see where it goes from there, but I don’t want to be running around like I have my head cut off.

Well, I must go out and do something. I’m getting really annoyed with just sitting around the house… I have no clue what we are going to do yet, but Brittany actually got ready, which wasn’t her plan at all. Maybe head to Portsmouth or something? Not totally sure. We are off though! Will be sure to update on how the store went and everything.
